Thanks to the back-to-back Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and the Florida Powerboat Club Key West Powerboat Week, the last week of this month and the first week of the next one are busy for the team at Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats. The Cape Coral, Fla.-based company typically goes all in with its Fort Lauderdale display, even when it doesn’t have a new model to showcase.

Last year during the Fort Lauderdale affair, Nor-Tech unveiled its first outboard engine-powered 40-foot catamaran with four Mercury Racing 500R brutes on its transom. This time around, Nor-Tech will of course display new builds duriing the October 29-November 2 affair. But though there are whispers of something new coming from the company, you won’t see it this year.
Think early 2026. Now forget I mentioned it.
A longtime supporter of the Florida Powerboat Club, Nor-Tech has its typical double-digit fleet locked into the outfit’s 2025 Key West affair. The Nor-Tech presence has been so large for the past several years that the brand has enjoyed its own lunch destination on the way to its final destination.
Though the club has not finalized the format for the 2025 affair, it’s a safe bet that the Nor-Tech faithful will again travel and grab lunch as a group. It’s bonding tradition for the brand and its loyalists, and a good one.

Once settled in Key West, Florida Powerboat Club members head to any number of local haunts. But all roads—especially when it gets late—lead back to Duval Street.
Early Friday evening, Nor-Tech has an exclusive event of its own at a venue alongside the notorious road to excess. Dubbed the Nor-Tech Key West Owners Celebration, the gathering of Nor-Tech customer-family members and company leaders will celebrate its eighth anniversary this time around at the Grand Café.
It’s a busy two weeks for the Nor-Tech crew, for sure, but the holidays follow. For the rest of the year, the team has nothing on its event-plate beyond supporting and enjoying Fort Myers Offshore lunch runs.
Then comes mid-February and the annual Miami International Boat Show. But that’s another story.

The Nor-Tech celebration at the Grand Cafe in Key West is heading into its eighth year.
For now, the Nor-Tech folks are focused on the last week of this month—and the first week of the next one.
