Wozencraft Providing Lunch And Party Support For Key West Poker Run

Although this year’s Key West Poker Run hosted by the Florida Powerboat Club is set to offer a few brand-specific lunch stops on both the Wednesday and Thursday runs from Miami to Key West, Fla., a majority of the club’s poker run teams will stop for lunch in Key Largo at Gilbert’s Resort, home of the iconic Tiki Bar.

And this year, as they have the past two years, Devin Wozencraft, Tanah Kinsey, Scott Kottmann and other Wozencraft Insurance Agency representatives are going to be at Gilbert’s on both days helping provide lunches for the club members. As part of its featured sponsorship of the lunch stop, the Wozencraft team will be rubbing elbows with customers and noncustomers alike, in what Devin Wozencraft—the owner of the Southern California-headquartered company—calls a “meet and greet.”

“A majority of the participants in the poker run go to Gilbert’s—it’s the perfect place really,” said Wozencraft , who is registered to captain his Skater Powerboats 30-foot catamaran powered by Mercury Racing 300R engines in the poker run. “It’s just a great spot to see everyone and it’s the best place for pictures. And this year, with so many of the boats leaving from different places, Gilbert’s is likely the first place where all the poker run teams will meet up and see one another for the first time.

“We always enjoy hanging out at Gilbert’s and spending a little time with our friends and clients,” he added. “This year we’ll be handing out our ‘Wozencraft 2022 World Tour’ shirts that list all of the events we attended this season. We had some fun with the shirts this year; so far everyone has loved them.”

Wozencraft said his plan is to do the first leg of the poker run to Gilbert’s on Wednesday and then stay the night at the resort in order to be ready for Thursday’s second wave of boats. After lunch on Thursday, he plans to join the run down to Key West in his Skater.

Of course, he won’t have time to waste on Thursday as Wozencraft is a sponsor of the Speed On The Water Key West Bash presented by CMR Construction and Roofing that takes place Thursday night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Sandbar Sports Grill.
