Offshore racing fans at the 2016 Super Boat International Offshore World Championships in Key West, Fla., last November witnessed tight battles between the WHM Motorsports and Performance Boat Center teams. One of those dogfights is the focus of the latest one-minute video teaser—released today—for the upcoming three-part NBC Sports television program capturing the 2016 SBI Worlds. The program was produced by JM Associates, which also is producing the promo videos for the show.

In addition to the roar of the Skater catamarans powered by Sterling Performance engines, the video features audio of the in-cockpit communication between Performance Boat Center throttleman John Tomlinson and driver Myrick Coil as they eventually overtake driver Billy Mauff and throttleman Jay Muller in WHM Motorsports when the WHM cat momentarily kites heading into turn No. 1.

“I got him,” Tomlinson calmly says as he and Coil make the pass. “I got him.”

Performance Boat Center went on to claim the Superboat-Class World Championship, with WHM Motorsports—the 2015 defending world champion—finished second overall.
