Topless Outerlimits SC 46 Cat Heading To Shootout And Super Cat Fest

While owner Jeremy Tschdia doesn’t have his 46-foot Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats catamaran called Topless and powered by twin Mercury Racing 1350 engines registered for Super Cat Fest at the Camden On The Lake Resort—meaning it won’t have a dedicated dock space there for the weekend—the boat will be on hand at the Aug. 24-26 Central Missouri event and throughout the concurrent Lake of the Ozarks Shootout. Tschdia said he plans to have 2015 model-year catamaran at Thursday evening’s Performance Boat Center party in Osage Beach.

“On Friday we will run in the Outerlimits rendezvous run and then everyone is going to Mark ‘Doc” Janssen’s house for the afternoon Outerlimits owners party,” he said. “(Outerlimits representative) Dan Kleitz and I will probably stop at Camden On The Lake for awhile that afternoon. On Saturday morning and early afternoon, we’ll have the boat at (Lake of the Ozarks host venue) Captain Ron’s with the Outerlimits crew, then we plan on going back to Camden in the mid afternoon.”

Tschdia’s boat is one of two carbon fiber and epoxy SC 46 catamaran constructed by the Bristol, R.I., high-performance custom V-bottom and catamaran builder. The open-canopy 46-footer was designed by Steve Curtis and Mike Fiore and painted by Stephen Miles and company at Stephen Miles Design in Owensboro, Ky.

Said Tschdia, “The guys from Outerlimits deserve credit for building such an awesome-running, beautiful catamaran, and Stephen Miles deserves credit for the pain and design. I’ve had both Myrick Coil (of Performance Boat Center) and Tres Martin (of the Performance Boat School) in the boat and driving with me several times, and both guys have been extremely impressed with how great the boat works at all speeds.”
