With such a large spotlight on Key West, Fla., for the 2017 Super Boat International Key West Offshore World Championships and the Key West Poker Run hosted by the Florida Powerboat Club, we figured why not dedicate the entire year-end digital magazine to the event. So we did, and the November/December 2017 issue is the result.

A closer look at both the world championships and the poker run, not to mention a profile on Mystic Powerboats’ all-new M3800 center console, a feature on matching MTI catamarans owned by well-known performance boater Johnny O’Loughlin and a touching tribute to Joe Sgro, the 63-year-old Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats principal who died from injuries sustained in an accident near Marathon, Fla., during the poker run. Thanks to the Keys Strong mentality displayed by locals as well as the 36 race teams and 185 registered poker run teams that traveled to the Southernmost point in the United States, the 2017 events came together smoothly despite the devastation Hurricane Irma caused to the Florida Keys and beyond just two months earlier.
