Tennessee’s Center Hill Lake Hosts 14th Annual Fishlipz Fun Run

For the 14th year, boaters are sure to enjoy the beauty of Center Hill Lake at the Fishlipz Fun Run hosted by Pates Ford Marina in Smithville, Tenn. Taking place on Saturday, Aug. 13, the run has five stops with a gathering area at Pine Creek—the fourth stop—where a DJ will be playing music on a houseboat before retuning to Pates Ford Marina.

You can still register for the Fishlipz Fun Run, which takes place at Pates Ford Marina in Smithville, Tenn., on August 13.

The seasonal Fishlipz Resort & Grill at Pates Ford Marina is the official after-party location. The chip exchange starts at 6 p.m. with $5,000 in cash prizes going to the top three hands. Organizers plan to give away other prizes throughout the evening as well as hold a live auction to benefit the charities that will include several autographed guitars, packages for a night on Broadway, boating-related items and more.

The fun run benefits Jolly Angels and the Brandon Elder Scholarship Fund, and its presenting sponsor is Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, which provides the weekend entertainment at Fishlipz among other donated items and services.

New for 2016, Sligo Marina is now included in the stops. Not only will Sligo be the first stop of the run, it will be the lunch pick-up point, too.

According to the event organizers, which are the same people who produce Wakefest Tennessee, lodging is still available on-site, including a four- and a five-bedroom home as well as an eight-person lodge. There are also RV/camper sites open and organizers can make on-site/overnight accommodations for as many boats as possible.
