Team Farnsworth Shirt Sales Supporting Jason’s Friends Foundation

With a 50-foot Mystic and a 41-foot DCB in his high-performance catamaran stable, Win Farnsworth doesn’t exactly need to go into the shirt business to support his hobby. But as a true philanthropist, the Denver, Colo., resident is using his high-profile toys to grace crew shirts and T-shirts being sold to raise money for the Jason’s Friends Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to the families of children with cancer.

“All of the monies we raise go to the families,” said Farnsworth, who is a friend of the family from which the organization takes its name. “It’s just the right thing to do.”

Farnsworth has been inundated with requests and orders since announcing his latest run of Team Farnsworth crew shirts ($100) and T-shirts ($25) through his Facebook page last night. In fact, he said he’s still in the processing of figuring out the fulfillment and delivery system and, to that end, is asking people who are interested in buying shirts to support the charity to be patient. Orders can be made by contacting him through his Facebook page as well as at upcoming go-fast boating events such as the Texas Outlaw Challenge and the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout. (The shirts cannot be purchased through the Jason’s Friends Foundation website.)

“We’ll sort out the logistics,” said Farnsworth. “Most of the time, that just comes down to a little hard work.”
