Sunsation Boats‘ Joe Schaldenbrand and Jeff Riehl of UnRiehl Sunsation, the high-performance center console builder’s dealer in Chesterfield, Mich., delivered a 32 CCX model today to a client in Bay Harbor, a residential and resort community on the shores of Lake Michigan. Powered by twin Mercury Marine Verado 350 outboard engines, the 32-footer is dressed in a sparkling silver, lemon-lime and granite color scheme.

Schaldenbrand and Riehl took the owner and his hired captain for a demo ride in sheet-glass Lake Michigan conditions.“I call it the ‘Gotham Edition’ because it has sort of a ‘Bat Man’ look and feel,” said Riehl. “It’s a really cool boat.”

According to Riehl, the 32-footer that went to Bay Harbor was the dealership’s last stock Sunsation center console. The dealer has delivered seven new Sunsations to customers since April and has seven more ordered—a combination of 32 and 34 CCX offerings. The first, a 32-footer, is scheduled for delivery in early July and will boast an all-red interior and silver and red hull.

“Essentially, we’ve been crazy with deliveries since April,” said Riehl. “We’re planning on delivering a red and silver 32CCX to a customer who also lives in Bay Harbor, and then staying for the Boyne Thunder Poker Run. We’re one of the sponsors—we’re sponsoring Thursday’s casual lunch run to Bay Harbor.”
