One of the newest dealers in the Sunsation Boats family—UnRiehl Performance in Warren, Mich.—recently opened its beautiful new showroom in Chesterfield, just a mile away from Anchor Bay on Michigan’s Lake St. Clair. A family-run company, UnRiehl Performance specializes in customizing Jeeps and RAM Trucks to create perfect off-road vehicles that can still be used on a daily basis in addition to selling custom V-bottoms from Sunsation, which is just 30 minutes away in Algonac, Mich.

UnRiehl Performance recently opened a new showroom in Chesterfield, Mich., to display its inventory of Sunsation models.

“Our new location in Chesterfield is a showroom and storage facility for our stock boats as well as some of our family’s other toys,” said Jeff Riehl, who also works in the family business—his father’s Jim Riehl Friendly Automotive Group has several locations in Michigan and sells new and used vehicles from Cadillac, Chrysler, Dodge, Honda, Jeep and RAM Trucks. “Our family has been boating all of our life. We love being on the water and are excited to be working with Sunsation. Between the new showroom and being able to take customers to the Sunsation plant, we’re optimistic about being able to sell some boats this year.”

In a nod to the family’s passion for hockey, the new showroom has several jerseys displayed neatly above the boats.

“We’re big hockey fans—we grew up on the water playing pond hockey and my brothers and I played in high school and a little in college,” said Riehl, who said the dealership has a 2014 29 CCX, 2014 a 34 CCX, a 2013 36 XRT and a 2009 32SS currently up for sale. “We’ve been boating all of our lives, too, and being Sunsation owners—my brother has a 36 XRT and my dad has a 34 CCX—is a real advantage for us. We’re looking for summer and getting back out on the water with our friends and family.”

Riehl encourages any interested boaters to call him at the office to set up a time to visit the new UnRiehl facility.
