Those of you who follow this blog know how much I like to report good news on Fridays. And good news about good people, such as the Schaldenbrand family that owns Sunsation Performance Boats in Algonac, Mich., is better still.
According to a press release from the company, Sunsation’s new 36-footer, will debut at the company’s Open House April 10-11. Power for the new model is a pair of staggered Mercury Racing 525EFI engines.
Also to be unveiled at the event is Sunsation’s new Poker Run Edition of its F-4 V-bottom. Power for the award-winning 43-footer is twin 730-hp V-10 engines from Ilmor.
Mike Griffith of Mercury Racing, Bob Mason of Ilmor Marine, Mitchell Tolan of Mitcher-T Custom Painting and Michael McLeod of the McLeod Design Group will join the Sunsation crew for the unveiling.
With the new 36, a fresh edition of the F-4 and the relatively recent addition of Shogren Performance Marine and Doller Offshore Marine as dealers, the Schaldenbrands aren’t just sitting still and hoping the market will turn. They’re moving forward. And that’s good news.
What did you expect? It’s Friday.
