Dedicated longtime offshore racing fans know that Ryan Beckley, the S-111 Kinetic Animation team owner who runs a 30-foot Skater Powerboats catamaran primarily on the Super Boat International Circuit, has a different primary at almost every race. But the Sarasota, Fla.-based Beckley typically throttles the canopied, outboard engine-powered 30-footer alongside a different driver because that seat often is “for sale.”

Beckley still has opportunities for would-be drivers and sponsors this season.
“We are trying to finalize our ‘Northern Swing’ offshore racing plans,” he said. “We plan on competing in the first Race World Offshore event in Mentor, Ohio and the SBI event in Michigan City, Indiana. We may also do the second RWO race in Dunkirk, New York.
“We are looking to fill the driver’s seat for these events with a qualified, funded driver and also seeking advertisers for the St Clair, Michigan race and Michigan City and Dunkirk races,” he added.
Beckley’s Skater can be decked out with the driver and sponsor names.
The cost of the driver’s seat in the S-111 catamaran is $2,500 per race, as is the title sponsorship—complete with the sponsors graphics—for the boat. Interested candidates can reach out to Beckley via email, [email protected].
