On the new-boat side of FB Marine Group’s business, which is based in Fort Lauderdale and has two other locations in South Florida, no brand is stronger than Statement Marine. According to Randy Sweers, the managing partner and founder of the full-service new and pre-owned powerboat dealership, the company has several Statement models on order for customers, including—most recently—35-, 38- and 43-foot (a new addition) center consoles.
“The next 35 will be our first with twin Mercury Racing 400R Verado outboard engines on jack-plates,” said Sweers. “We are building it for Bryan and Danyel Marquart, two of our best customers, who live in Beaumont, Texas. This is their first center console after owning several Nor-Tech catamarans.
Statement Marine is continuing to build center consoles for FB Marine Group.
“The 35 is going to debut at the (Florida Powerboat Club) Emerald Coast Poker Run,” he added. “It’s going to be equipped with a custom Alcantara interior. Bryan and Danyel will see it for the first time at the poker run.”
The next two Statement 38-footers for FB Marine customers also will be powered by Verado 400s—one with quads and the other with triples. As for the upcoming 43-footer, it will be outfitted with five of the supercharged 400-hp outboards.
“Stay tuned for that one,” said Sweers. “It’s ‘in the works.’”
