Speedonthewater.com 3,000th Article Overshadowed by Busy Week

At the end of November in 2012, I wrote something up highlighting speedonthewater.com’s 1,000th article. By the way that was before introducing our Speed On The Water digital magazine, which is now on issue No. 13 (download it here). A year a half later in June 2014, Matt Trulio wrote about the site’s 2,000th article.

And while I had every intention to recognize article No. 3,000 on the site, the milestone flew by last weekend and Trulio posted No. 3,022 this morning. In the eight days since I wrote about Joe Eger’s repainted 28-foot Skater he brought to the fifth annual Skaterfest in Michigan, we produced nearly two dozen stories.

Yet rather than let it pass without a mention, based on precedence alone, I’d like to recognize the accomplishment—especially because the 1,000 stories were produced in just 13 months. That’s 77 articles a month, which is an average of two-and-a-half stories per day.

We’re the first to admit not every story on the site is a homerun, but we also realize that’s a ton of coverage related to the performance boat industry. We’d like thank all of you for being a part of the journey and like I said regarding the 1,000th article, there’s still more to come from speedonthewater.com.
