It’s been a big week for the talented team at Sunsation Boats in Algonac, Mich. On the heels of delivering its first 34 CCX with triple Mercury Racing Verado 400R engines—an all-black stealth edition of the 34-foot center console (see pictures in the slideshow below)—Sunsation wrapped up a new 36-foot sportboat with twin Mercury Racing 565 engines that will be delivered just in time for Memorial Day weekend to Performance Boat Center in Osage Beach, Mo.
Sunsation is delivering this new 36-footer with twin Mercury Racing 565 engines to Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks today.
According to Brett Manire, Performance Boat Center can’t wait to get the beautiful twin-engine V-bottom, the first boat ordered by the company after signing up as a Sunsation dealer in February (read the story).
“We are very excited to receive our first Sunsation,” Manire said. “I went and picked up the trailer yesterday so we are ready!”

As promised, the boat, which Sunsation’s Joe Schaldenbrand said tops out at 95 mph, is being delivered by the Memorial Day weekend deadline.
Schaldenbrand said Sunsation has several more boats in production, including a “Platinum Edition” 34 CCX powered by triple Verado 400R engines that the company is planning to use as a demo boat, another 36 SSR with staggered Mercury 540 engines and the company’s first 32-foot center console.
