Based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., South Florida Performance Boats is taking over sales and distribution for Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats of North Fort Myers, Fla. Dubbed SOFLO, the dealership will serve customers in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island according to a recent Boaters Newswire press release.

According to the release, “SOFLO has boats available for inspection and demonstration, and is able to provide clients with the same concierge-level service they have come to expect from the team at SOFLO.”

“Our knowledgeable and discerning customers understand the SOFLO difference when it comes to choosing a Nor-Tech model, working closely with our team throughout the build process and enjoying unparalleled support post-delivery,” said Bob Crow, SOFLO’s managing partner, in the release. “We have a strong customer presence here in the Northeast, and certified service partners from New Jersey through New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Expanding our reach to the Northeast was the next logical step in servicing our existing and future customer needs.”

Based in Milford, Conn., Chris Gill will lead the dealerships operations in the Northeast operation. A lifelong boater, Gill is the co-founder of Maritime Publications, whiich owns WindCheck magazine and the Connecticut Spring Boat Show.

SOFLO will have 34- and 45-foot center console models on display in the water at the Newport International Boat Show Sept.13-16 in Rhode Island and the Norwalk Boat Show Sept. 20-23 in Connecticut, and the center consoles are available for sea trials at both show venues.
