Since Mystic Powerboats first launched its smallest catamaran—the C4400 at the 2015 Miami International Boat Show—the model has evolved. First off, it shrank through redesign/retooling and became the C4000. A few years later, the DeLand, Fla., builder went with a lighter, all-carbon-fiber lamination schedule that helped it get the most from twin Mercury Racing 450R—and now 500R—outboard engines.

Think John Cosker, the founder and owner of the company, is done? Think again—he’s retooled the deck of the 40-footer and made it sleeker and sexier.
Visitors to the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout presented by Performance Boat Center next week will get the first in-person look at the new Mystic C4000 catamaran, both during the Wednesday evening Shootout On The Strip street celebration sponsored by Waves and Wheels and on the water throughout the event.
Cooler still, at least from our perspective? The reimagined cat is going to be featured prominently in a new video series coming in 2024 from Speed On The Water and Scrapyard Media.
In the meantime, enjoy this sneak peek.
