Dr. Michael Janssen, the founder of the Center for Spine and Orthopedics in Denver who is best known around offshore racing and poker run circles as “Doc,” knew he was getting a show-stopping bike when he custom-ordered a turbocharged motorcycle from the Arizona-based Trask Performance.

What he didn’t know was that Without Limits—his bike with the same name as the boat it was inspired by (his 53-foot Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats V-bottom pictured in the slideshow below)—would be a “Best of Show” winner during last week’s 76th annual Daytona Bike Week in Daytona Beach, Fla.After taking delivery of the bike recently, Janssen, who has multiple offshore world championships under his belt, opted to take the impressive Trask Assault model to the legendary bike week. He said the bike turned a lot of heads and was requested for photo opportunities non-stop. You can see some of the women who climbed aboard the bike in the slideshow below.
Along with a cool video of the Assault in the YouTube video above, there’s an easy-on-the-eyes behind-the-scenes look at the Trask model photo shoot with the bike that’s well worth the watch.
At the end of the week, during the Full Throttle Magazine Bike Show at the Daytona International Speedway, Without Limits won the “Best of Show” award, which came with a $1,000 prize and a 6-foot-tall trophy. Adding to his list of awards, the bike also nabbed first place in the Extreme Baggers category.

“I had a great time out there and am looking forward to a great summer on and off the water,” Janssen said. “Right now we’re doing some work on the boat with Mercury that we’re expecting to debut in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., for the Desert Storm Poker Run. We’re going to do the street party—with the boat and the truck—and we’re also planning to hit Boyne Thunder Poker Run in Michigan in July and the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in August. This should be a fun year.”
