Slideshow Of The Week: Happily Ever After For The Hennings

A little less than a year after Kansas performance boater Jarus Henning proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Courtney Holmes, during the Lake Cumberland Thunder Run (read about it here) held at State Dock Marina in Jamestown, Ky., the couple tied the knot on Saturday in front of more than 100 of their closest friends and family members during a beautiful ceremony at Lazy Gators in Lake Ozark, Mo.

On hand to capture the memorable occasion, event photographer Kevin Johns of Instant Memories Photography shared several images with me earlier today after I requested pictures of the ceremony as well as the Speed On The Water 2019 Year In Review magazines that Holmes—now Mrs. Jarus Henning—requested a few weeks ago to use as part of the wedding table centerpieces.

Considering the happy couple purchased a few copies of the Year In Review (you can buy one here) earlier this year after learning they were featured in the magazine with an incredible aired-out image shot by Johns of their Donzi Marine 35ZR sportboat and a picture I took of them with Holmes showing off her new engagement ring after Henning proposed to her while we were all taking a fun image in front Johns’ photo booth, I was more than happy to accommodate her request. I mean how cool is it that she wanted to include our magazine on such a special day?

Of course if you’re going to get married on Lake of the Ozarks there ought to be a boat involved, and Henning did not disappoint as the lovely couple left the ceremony in his 35-foot Donzi that is named Knot Complain’n. Fortunately for the Hennings, the stormy weather cleared up about an hour before Saturday’s wedding and reception, allowing them as well as their guests, which included several of their closest boating friends, to have an enjoyable, memory-filled time.
