Starting today at 9 a.m. (CST), Shogren Performance Marine of McHenry, Ill., is offering significant discounts—up to 70 percent according to company principal Scott Sjogren—on thousands of high-quality, new and pre-owned powerboat parts. To move the inventory, the company developed a separate parts section of its website several months ago, and that online store has been continually updated with photos of most parts being offered.

“For the last 10 years we have been accumulating parts,” Sjogren said. “Headers, mufflers, tail pipes, crash boxes, sea strainers, transmissions, full interiors—after 10 years you end up becoming a ‘collector.’ And we are not in the collecting business. So we’re blowing out everything.”

Before the company launched its online parts store, Sjogren and his crew sorted through the array of pieces and kept only those items in top condition, he said. Many of the parts are completely new, he added.

“Most of the parts will be about 70 percent less than you could find them anywhere else,” he said. “You can’t see the 40-percent discount for this sale in the price of the part, which is already deeply discounted, on the website. We have the site coded so the additionial 40 percent comes off at checkout.”
