Screaming Eagle Sells Talon Tooling, Announces New Partnership

Based in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Todd and Karen Lamb of Screaming Eagle Boats, LLC, have sold the tooling for the Gary Armington-designed 22-foot Talon catamaran, which is in the process of being developed/expanded into a 26-footer, to Dean and Gina Anderson. The Andersons, in turn, have formed Talon Powerboats, LLC. The news was announced today in a press release from Screaming Eagle.

According to the release, Screaming Eagle will continue to build and rig the Talon models for Talon Powerboats, LLC, in addition to its own Jay Pilini-designed 30- 32- and 36-foot Spectre sport catamarans. The company purchased the tooling for those models from former owner Chris Ivey.

“Screaming Eagle Boats, in alliance with Talon Powerboats, are together expanding their business operations and focus on the Talon platform and models,” the release stated. “Talon Powerboats LLC, now operating as a separate and wholly owned business entity, including ownership of the Talon 22 SS, Talon 22 XL and now the Talon 26 models, will focus on product development, innovation, new models and expansion of the Talon brand globally. Talon Powerboats LLC has formed an exclusive partnership with Screaming Eagle Boats, who along with their Spectre business will focus on the highest quality product and handcrafted design and manufacturing techniques and will continue to fully build and rig all Talon models.”

Screaming Eagle recently completed its first 32-footer. “It is off in paint as we speak,” said Karen Lamb.
