According to the release, Richard, a native of New Orleans, served on SBI’s technical inspection team for several years. He replaces Richard Dancisin, who resigned from the organization earlier this month.

Hutchinson, who has been with SBI for more than 19 years, has served the organization in multiple roles from transportation driver to site supervisor, according to the release, and has been on SBI’s board of governors for several years. Hutchinson is replacing Richard, who moved into the chief referee role.

“With the knowledge and experience that Tom has gained over the years as an enthusiast, a pace boat driver and then chief technical Inspector, he will be representing SBI as the chief referee,” said John Carbonell, the owner of SBI, in the release. “Also, with Dewayne taking on the role as Chief Inspector we look forward to a successful season.”
