Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix To Livestream Saturday and Sunday Action

Powerboat racing fans who can’t catch the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix action from western Florida’s famed Lido Beach this weekend will be able to watch it online via a free USTREAM Livestream broadcast. Powerboat P1, which sanctions the SuperStock single-engine V-bottom and AquaX classes, is sponsoring the two-day Internet broadcast.

Viewers can access the Livestream—as well as watch a promotional video for race weekend now—by clicking here.

The racing action begins Saturday with AquaX personal watercraft races at 9 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. (EST). They will be followed by the first SuperStock- class race at 10:45 a.m.—the SuperStock class will race four times on Saturday. AquaX competition will conclude Sunday with races at 9 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. The final SuperStock-class race is scheduled to start at 3:15 p.m. Sunday.

Sunday’s offshore powerboat racing begins at 11 a.m. with Cat Light, Super Vee Lite and P1-311. The Super Cat, Super Vee, Extreme and Extreme Unlimited classes are scheduled to start at 12:15 p.m. The Sarasota Grand Prix Invitational P4-7 class is scheduled to go green at 2 p.m.
