Rooster Tail Sports & Entertainment announced today it has started a new, full-service marketing and events company in the Middle East. The brainchild of the experienced husband-and-wife team of Sid and Anna Bensalah, Rooster Tail is launching at an exciting time for both sport and entertainment in Dubai and beyond.
The Bensalah family has been involved with many successful organizations, including the XCAT World Series.
With more than 20 years of experience in the region, the duo has in-depth knowledge of the Middle East market and also boasts a vast network of contacts as well as experience working with international federations, government bodies, sponsors, athletes, hotels and other stakeholders.
The name Rooster Tail is a play on the wake sprayed up behind a performance boat in full flight, which can create the shape of a rooster’s tail. Sid Bensalah (right) was instrumental in initiating the launch and running of the hugely successful XCAT World Series, an organization that has set the standard in the industry.
While working with the Dubai International Marine Club, he was instrumental in bringing America’s Cup team Alinghi to Dubai. He also created and launched the Sea Dubai concept, Sea Dubai Sailing Team, Maktoum Sailing Trophy and Dubai Junior Regatta, all while initiating and implementing a youth development program, so he appears to have what it takes to grow the sport locally and promote both the sport and the city of Dubai internationally.
Anna Bensalah is a Swiss Hotel School graduate with vast working experience in business development and running local and international events. She has worked in luxury five-star hotels across Europe, Bahrain and the UAE, and was an essential part of the pre-opening team for the iconic Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai as well as the handover of a luxury hotel in Abu Dhabi to join the Le Meridien family.
The services offered by Rooster Tail include sports PR and marketing, event creation and management, brand activation, event sponsorship and execution, management of competitive teams and individual athletes, creation of youth development programs, and consultancy to global brands, host venues and event organizers.
“We are firm believers that there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to sports and entertainment,” Sid Bensalah explained. “We are looking forward to working on bespoke solutions and thrilling, attention-grabbing concepts for all our clients. This is a great time to be working in the Middle East, which still has so much potential in terms of what can be done and how far we can go with sports and entertainment events in the region.”
