The much-anticipated M41 Widebody catamaran from Dave’s Custom Boats (DCB) is getting closer to hitting the water. In the beginning phases of rigging, DCB’s Dave Hemmingson shared a few photos of the boat inside the El Cajon, Calif., company’s facility, so we’re passing them along.
“We’re rigging away so the boat is starting to get some holes in her,” said Hemmingson, who is excited about getting the 41-footer and its twin Mercury Racing 1350 engines on the water for testing. “We’re not in a rush though. We want to make everything as trick as possible. Most likely we’ll have the boat on the water in the next couple of months.
“She looks real good,” he added. “You can really notice the Class-A surfacing technology and the reflections. I’m very proud of her.”
During the process of rigging everything in the engine compartment and the cockpit, DCB will be wrapping up the seats and the rest of the interior, which Hemmingson is promising will be picture perfect.
As we have been since the boat was just a rendering, speedonthewater.com will deliver updates on the M41 Widebody as made available.
