Minncraft Boatworks will unveil its Summit 26 Runabout during the upcoming Miami International Boat Show (Feb. 16-20). Powered by a 330-hp MerCruiser 5.7L engine, the 26-footer will be in the water at the docks (booth #560) in front of Miami Marine Stadium. According to a press release from the Miami-based company, the vintage-styled Summit 26 “was conceived with the idea to craft a collector’s showpiece.”
“The hull has sleek modern lines yet it evokes that nostalgic feel of the Great Gatsby or Camelot age of long carefree weekends by the sea with classic runabouts gracing the horizon,” said Rob Sheppard, the founder of Minncraft Boatworks, in the release. “Indulgences abound— designed for the soul of a maritime connoisseur we have integrated technology and contemporary embellishments with the spirit of timeless nautical legacy.”
According to the release, the 26-footer boasts a hand-planked wood composite hull with white oak frames, cold-molded bottom and hull sides with a solid mahogany and teak top layer finished with fiberglass encapsulation, a teak cockpit sole and a blueprinted bottom. The sporboat’s interior includes LED lighting and Phillip Cato-designed upholstery for the seating.
Features include nine- and seven-inch Raymarine customized function monitors—one for audio control, digital switching and engine monitoring and the other for navigation and chart plotting—with an integrated iPad control system and a six-speaker stereo system with a Rockford-Fosgate amplifier.
