According to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 49-year-old Louisiana native Richie Prince and his 40-year-old passenger, Bradley Dunphy of Lafayette, La., were killed in an accident at mile marker 10 on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks on Friday evening.

The incident report states that Prince’s 2013 MTI catamaran was traveling downstream and became airborne, rolled to its starboard side, struck the water and flipped upside down. Rescue efforts last night were not successful and speedonthewater.com has yet to confirm if the MSHP rescue efforts that began this morning have led to any recoveries.
“Richie Prince is a super guy with a super family—we’re sure going to miss him,” said MTI founder and owner Randy Scism. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We don’t what happened yet—all we know is that it’s a terrible accident.”
Prince is survived by his wife and two children.
