Poker Runs America Alexandria Bay Event Rescheduled

Called off in July for concerns around high-water levels, Poker Runs America’s Alexandria Bay “Thunder On The Bay Poker Run” in New York  is back on the schedule and set for Sept. 15-16. The news was announced in a press release from the Canada-based poker run event producer.

Participants who register before Sept. 8 will receive a $100 discount on the entry fee, according to the release.

“We’re not quite done with summer yet, and the ‘Thunder on the Bay Poker Run’ is one of the last chances you may have to get out on the water and peg those throttles to the max on some of the most beautiful waterways in the world,” the release stated. “The Alexandria Bay Poker Run was originally slated for July, but Poker Runs America was forced to postpone the run due to the conditions on the waterway and in order to comply with the declaration of a state of emergency by Governor Andrew Cuomo.”

Entering its second year, the Alexandria Bay Wine Festival and Farmer’s market will “also be in full swing” during the poker run weekend, according to the release.
