Yesterday’s news story on the seventh annual Lake Murray Poker Run, which attracted 70 powerboats of various shapes and sizes and raised more than $35,000 for the nonprofit Children’s Chance organization, featured images from performance-boat enthusiast and talented photographer Michael Ledford. Ledford shot boat-to-boat and captured all of his photos from water level, which brought home the close-knit feeling of community—and the good times for a good cause—shared by the participants in the South Carolina event.

While Ledford stuck to the water angle, photographer David “Swede” Andrews of Performance Images took to the sky in a Robinson helicopter to provide a different perspective on the Lake Murray run. Together, the two shooters chronicled last weekend’s event in fine—and even stunning—fashion.
