Miami-based photographer Jim Winters rolled—in as much as weekend traffic in the Florida Keys will let anyone “roll” anywhere—down to Marathon to shoot the second event of the Super Boat International offshore racing season last Sunday. And despite the somewhat limited fleet and even more-limited shooting and viewing angles from the race site, Winters brought back some beauties from the sweltering day’s action and sent then to speedonthewater.com. And now we’re bringing them to you in Winters’ second image gallery for the site.

One thing Winters’ images prove? Even when the fleets are small and the water conditions are tame, the colors of offshore racing are spectacular, especially when captured by an experienced, professional photographer.
