Peters & May will continue as the title sponsor of the Unlimited Racing Group’s H1 Unlimited Hydroplane gbr11 for the 2016 season. The news was announced in a press release from the global yacht and powerboat shipping logistics firm, which is headquartered in the United Kingdom.

Four-time APBA National Champion and multiple Hall of Fame driver Tom Thompson will pilot the gbr11 Unlimited hydro.

“Peters & May Racing has a long history of supporting powerboat racing around the world through sponsorships and also, critically, through our bespoke logistics services,” said Dave Holley, the chief executive officers of Peters & May, in the release. “The brand-awareness benefits that we derive from our participation are considerable. However, more than that, we are absolutely committed to helping advance the sport, and that is why we support grass roots as well as top-level events. We wish Tom and the team further success in 2016.”

The five-event Unlimited Racing Group’s H1 2016 schedule kicks off July 1-3 in Madison, Wis., and concludes Sept. 16-18 in San Diego.
