We wanted to go—we really did—but today’s Florida Powerboat Club Boca Grande Key Raft-Up off Key West, Fla., didn’t fit into the speedonthewater.com schedule. That’s the bad news, at least for us. The good news? We hand plenty of friends out there among the hundreds of boats and reportedly more than 1,000 participants. So we asked a few our favorite folks to send us their smart phone pictures and, in turn, assembled slide shows for them. (Some of those people haven’t even returned to the docks in Key West yet.)

Shoot whatever strikes your fancy, we told them. You’re not pros, so there’s no pressure. Just have fun.
First up in the personal slide show parade? Scott Sjogren of Pier 57 Marine in Gurnee, Ill. Sjogren’s photo platform for the day was a 44-foot Marine Technology, Inc., catamaran with twin Mercury Racing 1100 engines owned by longtime Pier 57 Marine customer Vinnie Foglia.
Editor’s Note: Speedonthewater.com will continue to add slides shows as the images from various participants come in.
