Performance Boat Center Sets Spring Fun Run Date

Of the many events Performance Boat Center produces or plays a major role in supporting on the Lake of the Ozarks each year—from the Cigarette Owners Rendezvous to the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout—two of its most relaxed and locally loved happenings bookend the Central Missouri boating season. The first of these, the PBC Spring Fun Run, has been scheduled for Saturday, May 8.

Though stops for the day have yet to be selected, the multi-brand dealership’s Spring Fun Run follows a simple format—start and finish, with various waterfront venue pauses in between, at Performance Boat Center. No registration or fee is required.

Despite unseasonably cool weather, last year’s event attracted 35 to 40 boats from owners around the country. Performance Boat Center’s Brett Manire and company are expecting an even stronger turnout this time around.

“We are a little ahead of the norm getting the information out, but if the weather is good I’ll expect 50 boats or so,” he said. “Fun runs are always the best. Any kind of boat is welcome. No registration nor fees—just a great day of fellow-minded powerboat owners enjoying each other and their boats.”

The dates for Performance Boat Center’s season-ending Fall Fun Run have not been released.
