Performance Boat Center Sets Fall Fun Run For Early October

Go-fast powerboat lovers in the Lake of the Ozarks area who aren’t quite ready to say goodbye to the 2019 season on their home water have another organized event to enjoy thanks to Performance Boat Center. The full-service multi-brand brand powerboat dealership in Osage Beach, Mo., announced yesterday that its annual Fall Fun Run is set for Saturday, October 5.

“The weather at that time of year around here can be awesome,” said Brett Manire, who co-owns Performance Boat Center with Mark Waddington. “Or it could be cold and rainy.

“Right now, it’s perfect—85 degrees and sunny,” he continued. “We’re hoping that stays around.”

Starting at 9 a.m., participants will meet at Performance Boat Center for a planned departure between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. They will return to the facility in time for an evening pool party from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Stops for the event have not been determined, said Manire, who is expecting 30 to 40 boats in the fleet.

“We usually have two stops for the day, then we head back to the Tiki bar at the Redhead Lakeside Grille and Yacht Club,” said Manire.

Performance-boat owners interested in participating should RSVP to Manire via email at [email protected] or text message at 402-304-5342.
