Barely two months old, 2019 already is turning out to be a big year for Cigarette Racing Team. First and foremost, the Opa-Locka, Fla.-based custom high-performance V-bottom sportboat and center console builder is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Second, with its new 59-foot-long, six-outboard-engine-powered Tirranna sport yacht/super console unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show last month, the company introduced its largest and most luxurious model to date. Last, the company also showcased stunning updates of its 42 Huntress Elite, 39 GTO and 38 Top Gun 50th Anniversary Edition.

And with the fifth annual Cigarette Owners Rendezvous produced by Performance Boat Center set for June 13-16 at the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri, the iconic brand is likely to reach another milestone with its largest collection of models in one place to date. Last year, the event attracted 87 Cigarette offerings from around the country.
“I think we’ll crack 100 boats this year,” said Brett Manire, who co-owns the multi-brand, full-service Performance Boat Center dealership based in Osage Beach, Mo., with Mark Waddington. “And I have a few new tricks up my sleeve for the other aspects of this year’s Cigarette rendezvous.”
The weekend-long event includes a fun run for early arrivals and party at Performance Boat Center and its Redhead Lakeside Grille and Yacht Club on Friday, another fun and dinner on Saturday and a “rehab” day for participants who’d like to enjoy the lake for another afternoon on Sunday. Participants can RSVP for the event through Jordan Major at Performance Boat Center via email or phone, 573-873-2300.
