Performance Boat Center Hosting Spring Fun Run

To kick off the 2015 go-fast boating season, as well as provide a taste of things to come from the Redhead Lakeside Grill on the Lake of Ozarks shoreline, Performance Boat Center is hosting its 2015 Spring Fun on Saturday, May 16. That’s the word from the company’s Brett Manire, who is organizing the event with the crew at the state-of-the art go-fast boat dealership, service and parts center and storage outfit.

“This weekend will be the first in 2015 that we have gathered a bunch of Performance Boat Center customers together,” Manire said. “I have done spring and fall fun runs now for five years, and people always want to know when it’s going to happen. I can almost always get 30 boats for sure, and if the weather is nice we could have 40 boats.”

Participants will meet at the Performance Boat Center facility between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. From there, they’ll head to the Fish And Co. restaurant for a lunch stop. After lunch, the fleet will move on to Dog Days, one of the more popular spots along the Central Missouri waterway. Finally, they’ll return to Performance Boat Center for dinner and refreshments.

Sample items from the Redhead Lakeside Grill, which is on site at the Performance Boat Center facility but has not yet opened, will be served that evening. The season-opening run is open to all participants.

“We will have servers and managers and cooks who are going to be working in the restaurant restaurant here, and we’re going to bring over a couple of ovens so people can sample some of the things that will be on the menu,” said Manire. “We hope to see you there.”
