The last in-house-organized pleasure-boating event of Performance Boat Center’s 2023 season, the Fall Fun Run on the Lake of the Ozarks has gained a strong following of go-fast powerboat enthusiasts who refuse to get off the water until winter fully descends. Last year’s event, for example, attracted 54 entries.

Set for Saturday, October 7, the Central Missouri event likely will attract as many or more boats this year. And for good reasons.
“Fall boating is the best,” said Brett Manire, who co-owns Performance Boat Center with Mark Waddington. “The weather is perfect and the lake has calmed down. It makes for a good event. I’m sure there will be 50 to 60 boats.”
The day will begin with a morning drivers meeting and breakfast at Performance Boat Center headquarters. Then the fleet will depart for The Cave Bar and Grill in Camdenton for lunch before moving on to the Tap and Grill Lakeside Brew Haus in Gravois Mills. At approximately 4 p.m. the group will return to Performance Boat Center for a celebration at the adjacent Redhead Lakeside Grill.
Registration for the event is still open.
“The Fall Fun Run is always one of my favorites with cool boats, great weather and the best people around,” Manire said.
The Cave Bar and Grill will be the first stop of the day.
