Based in Osage Beach, Mo., Performance Boat Center, which recently celebrated the opening of Redhead Lake Side Grill Restaurant, has received yet another new “stock boat” from Cigarette Racing Team, according to the Lake of the Ozarks-based dealership’s Brett Manire. This time around, the company ordered a model-year 2016 38’ Top Gun powered by twin Mercury Racing 565 engines with Bravo ITS drives and Mercury Maximus five-blade propellers. Features include custom paint, a full-size aluminum swim platform and a “top-of-the-line” painted MYCO trailer.

“We spent a lot of time working with Cigarette, especially on the paint, making sure everything was perfect,” said Manire. “We ordered it with the 565s, so you still have a 90-mph boat but with the warranties that come with those engines.”

The 38-footer was delivered to the dealership last week. Manire said that although he doesn’t yet have a buyer for the $499,000 V-bottom, he doesn’t believe finding a home for the boat will be difficult. He had planned to run it on the lake this morning, but the current weather forced him to change his plans.

“It is absolutely pouring here,” Manire said. “I was hoping to get it out this morning to see how it would run, but I can’t. But we had an event here this weekend and there were so many people gawking at it. It’s perfect.”
