With the New York City Show Jan. 25-29 and Atlantic City Boat Show March 1-5 just around the corner, two marine industry veterans are teaming up for both events to sell Sunsation CCX performance center consoles. Dave Patnaude of Toms River, N.J.-based Coty Marine and Chris Cestaro, the owner of Ocean Performance in Old Saybrook, Conn., will work side by side at both shows.
Sunsation will have excellent veteran representation in Dave Patnaude and Christ Cestaro at the upcoming New York City and Atlantic City boats shows.
Coty Marine is the exclusive dealer for Sunsation in the Northeast. To date, the dealership has sold one 32 CCX model and has ordered two more from the Algonac, Mich., performance-oriented center console builder since it took on the line last summer. A new and pre-owned boat dealer and broker, as well as a full Mercury-certified center, Ocean Performance has been in the high-performance powerboat market for more than 30 years.
“Chris has been a long time close friend as well as a competitor,” said Patnaude. “He is one of the most longtime respected people in the performance boating industry and it is an honor to have him team up with us”
“I’m pretty excited about it,” said Cestaro. “I’ve known Dave for years—he’s been a dealer, he’s helped me with getting financing for customers, and he’s done a great job with that club (the New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club) down there. I think it’s going to be great.
“I remember when the New York show used to be 11 days,” he continued. “There was an ‘Trade Day,’ a ‘Dealer Day, a ‘Media Day.’ People have been complaining that there haven’t been any performance boats at that show in recent years. This will be a great start.”
Added Patnaude, “This will be the first time in almost 10 years that any performance-oriented boat has been displayed at either of those shows.”
