Inside SOTW Mag: Baja 40 Outlaw Revival

Customers such as the guy who brought his 2005 Baja Marine 40 Outlaw V-bottom to Waves and Wheels (W&W) recently for a complete interior overhaul are the ones Justin Wagner—owner of the Osage Beach, Mo., company—can’t wait to see walk though the door. Customers who have enough faith in the W&W team to give it total creative control are a dream come true for Wagner.

So when the opportunity arises, which it has quite a few times as of late, W&W takes full advantage and shows what it’s capable of producing.

“We’re very proud of how the 40 Outlaw came together,” said Wagner, adding that the boat already had a Western/Outlaw theme to it with barbed wire throughout the paint scheme and a six-shooter chamber for the zero in 40 Outlaw. “I asked the customer if we could expand on the Outlaw theme and he was good with that. We did a stereo upgrade on the boat a few years ago, nothing fancy, so I think he trusted us.”
