Off The Hook Shooting For 10 Nor-Tech Center Console Sales In 2020

Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats fans who visited the company’s exhibit during the 2020 Miami International Boat Show in February had plenty to appreciate from the Fort Myers, Fla., high-performance center console, catamaran and V-bottom sportboat builder. But the showpiece of the display was a Nor-Tech 450 Sport CC powered by quad Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines and dressed with Mercury Racing graphics. The boat was built as an inventory model for Off The Hook Yacht Sales, a full-service multi-outlet dealership that’s well-known in the Northeast.

Currently for sale, this 45-footer is one of 10 Nor-Tech center consoles Off The Hook Yacht Sales hopes to deliver this year.

Those graphics are gone now from the immaculate 45-footer and the boat is at Off The Hook Yacht Sales’ North Carolina location. Still for sale, it’s the only inventoried 450 model in any of the North and South Carolina, Virginia and Maryland sales territories covered by the dealership, which has facilities in Maryland, North Carolina and New Jersey. (Off The Hook also acquired fellow Nor-Tech dealer SoFlo Boats last June, but the South Florida dealership runs independently.)

The 45-footer is one of 10 Nor-Tech’s that Off The Hook Yacht Sales is planning to sell this year, according to Carson Talbert, Off The Hook’s marketing director.

“It’s a wonderful blank canvas now for a buyer who wants to paint it—or just leave it as is,” he said. “We’ve run it once for a sea trial and twice for photo shoots.”

According to Talbert, Off The Hook has three Nor-Tech center consoles scheduled for delivery in the next several weeks, as well as production slots for a 340 and a 390, as well as another 450. But the team at the dealership is shooting for 10 sales this year.

The public got its first look at the then-wrapped Nor-Tech 450 now at Off The Hook’s North Carolina location at the 2020 Miami Boat Show.
