For the first time in 31 digital magazines, the latest Speed On The Water issue—July/August 2018, which is available to download for FREE—is more than 100 pages. With exceptional content from a wide sample of events that took place in July and August, not to mention features on FB Marine Group, a Tennessee group’s trip to The Bahamas, the Captain Morgan 2.0 Fountain Powerboats V-bottom and the all-new eight-seat 38-foot Skater Powerboats catamaran that is featured on the cover, getting the Speed On The Water July/August 2018 issue to 100 plus pages took a lot of work, both on the road and off.
Probably the most interesting feature in the July/August 2018 issue, which can be downloaded for free here, is Matt Trulio’s extensive report on back-to-back poker runs in the extremely enthusiastic country of Sweden. With 13 pages dedicated to the coverage, it’s well worth the read. A close second, the story on the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in August, highlights 30 reasons why the happening is such a seminal go-fast boating event.
Other event features include one on the Boyne Thunder Poker Run in Michigan and one on the 1,000 Islands Charity Poker Run, plus there is another 12 pages of On Scene coverage from events in California, Florida, Michigan, New York, Ohio and Tennessee. Needless to say, there are tons of people, places and boats featured throughout the digital issue.
The issue also includes the debut of Torrente’s Take written by racer Shaun Torrente, who was part of the test team for the Speedonthewater.com Mercury Racing Verado 400R Sport Catamaran Roundup on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks in August, as well as Hot Sheet, Gear and more.
