Randy Davis, the owner of Nordic Boats, is no stranger to the podium. Long before he purchased the Lake Havasu City, Ariz., boat-building business in 2005, Davis had hoisted his fair share of ski racing trophies.

This last weekend, though, ranks up there with some of his proudest racing moments as Team Nordic dominated the field in several events along the Colorado River in Parker, Ariz. Early Saturday morning, Davis and longtime observer Dennis Hall entered and won all three National Water Ski Racing Association events. And with Hall on the crew beside co-drivers Billy Dunsmore and Gordy Jennings, Davis and company laid claim to the team’s second all-time overall victory in the BlueWater Resort & Casino ‘300’ Parker Enduro presented by Nick Rose Insurance.
“After winning all three ski races overall, to follow that up with a true team effort in the Parker Enduro was the icing on the cake,” said Davis, who described the return of the all-class Le Mans-style start to the 300-plus-mile main event as much more exciting, especially for the fans. “This year’s event was a lot of fun; we had a great time. I think they had 33 boats enter, in different classes of course, so there was some real good racing.
