Nordic and More Set to Exhibit at New Los Angeles Boat Show Location

Starting today and running through Sunday (Jan. 19-22), the 61st annual Los Angeles Boat Show is premiering at its new location, the Fairplex in Pomona. After decades of being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the new company behind the show—Duncan McIntosh Co. Inc., which publishes Sea MagazineBoating World and The Log NewspaperFishRap and Editor & Publisher—opted to move the show to the popular Fairplex, which is about 30 miles east of downtown L.A.

Nordic Boats latest 26-foot deck boat is going to be on display at the Los Angeles Boat Show throughout the weekend.

Along with a new floor plan, plenty of fun for the kids, easy parking and an overall change of scenery, there is going to be several go-fast boat manufacturers and parts suppliers on hand at the Fairplex, which is located at 1101 W. McKinley Ave. in Pomona.

The team at Nordic Boats has five boats set up at the show that runs from noon to 9 p.m. today and Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

According to Nordic’s John Lovell, the Lake Havasu City, Ariz., company is displaying a 22 Evolution, 25 Rage, 28 Heat, 28SS and 26 Deck Boat. Nordic was set to bring six boats but one of them was purchased prior to the show so it’s no longer available.

Joining Tom Veronneau and the team at Livorsi Marine, which is planning to show off a variety of products including its new Quick Series (QR) DTS Billet Controls, AO Coolers, CP Performance, Hallett Boats, Hardin Marine, Shockwave Custom Boats and Wozencraft Insurance all have booths set up and a variety of “boat show” deals to choose from.

The L.A. Boat Show is the first of several McIntosh-ran shows in California, which includes the Fred Hall Shows (March 2017 in Long Beach, Bakersfield and Del Mar), the Newport Boat Show (Spring 2017), the San Diego International Boat Show (June 15- 18) and the Southern California Boat Show (Fall 2017).
