With more than 12 dealers representing Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats during last week’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in South Florida, the high-performance center console, V-bottom and catamaran builder had one of its strongest boat show experiences in recent years. That’s word from Trond Schou, the owner and founder of the Fort Myers, Fla.-based company.
Nor-Tech had three performance center consoles and one sportboat at the Bahia Del Mar docks last week.
“This is the best show we’ve had in a long time,” said Schou. “It was a huge success in our eyes. It was great to see that all of our dealers were busy during the whole show—we were even busy on Wednesday, which is the ‘VIP’ day.”
As noted in a prior speedonthewater.com article, the company displayed 340, 390 and 450 Sport center consoles, as well as a 360 American Flyer sportboat, at the Bahia Del Mar docks. The company also exhibited at 340 Sport CC and a 392 Superfish CC in the nearby convention center.
According to Schou and Nor-Tech dealer manager Geoff Tomlinson, Nor-Tech took several orders during the event.
Two Nor-Tech center consoles were exhibited in the convention center during the show.
Like Schou and Tomlinson, Nor-Tech’s Cindi Trombley was delighted with the show and Nor-Tech’s sales during the week.
“We were excited about our new display and the chance to really showcase our products,” she said. “The weather, the booth, and the crowds could not have been better. After 20-plus years of boat shows, the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show was one for the books.”
