With the massive annual Miami International Boat Show less than a month off, it’s easy to forget that “boat show season” is well underway. This weekend alone, there are no less than five boats show between the United States and Canada.

True to its name, Midwest Boating Center in representing Nor-Tech at the Overland Park Boat Show in Kansas this weekend.

“Regional boat shows generate sales,” said Geoff Tomlinson, the dealer manager for Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Powerboats of Fort Myers, Fla., which has 11 dealers in its network. “Our brand is at five shows this weekend—with killer setups.”

In addition to Michigan-based Nor-Tech dealer American Custom Marine, a 2019 Mercury Marine Customer Satisfaction Index Award winner covering the Detroit Boat Show, North Carolina-based Off The Hook Yacht Sales is handling displays for the high-performance center console, V-bottom sportboat and catamaran company this weekend in Baltimore and New York City. Midwest Boating Center is tackling the Overland Park Boat Show in Missouri, while in Canada Double R Performance is tackling the Toronto Boat Show.

“Having our brand represented well by our dealers is a huge part of our business,” said Trond Schou, Nor-Tech’s president and co-founder. “We are lucky that we have a strong dealer network that can go to the regional shows and set up displays of such a high caliber.”
