For the second consecutive year, North Myrtle Beach Resort and Dry Dock Marina is stepping up to be the title sponsor of Englewood Beach Waterfest, the Southwest Florida home of the Offshore Powerboat Association World Championships in November. In addition to being the final OPA-produced event of year, the Englewood Beach happening will crown American Power Boat Association and Union International Motonautique world champions in all V-bottom classes this year.

The event is set for November 17-20 and—based on past turnouts—should attract at least 50 teams.
“We cannot express how much we appreciate Kirk Hana (of the NMB team), their racing team and his dedicated staff at NMB RV Resort and Dry Dock Marina, for their support of the World Championship OPA Powerboat Races here on the Gulf Coast in Englewood,” said Ray LaBadie, the first vice-president of the Englewood Beach Waterfest board of directors.
Tickets for this year’s event will be available online and at select locations around the Englewood area, according to an Englewood Beach Waterfest press release issued earlier this week, and will be announced via email and all of the Waterfest outlets and social media platforms.
Added LaBadie, “The entire community is energized and ready for racing this November. We could not pull off this world-class event without the support of our sponsors.”
