New SOTW Mag Live with Goldman Tribute, M CON Success Story and Much More

Coming in at a healthy 94 pages, the May/June issue of Speed On The Water digital magazine is live now and can be downloaded at no charge by clicking here.

The issue leads off with a tribute to Xtreme Powerboats founder Larry Goldman, who died suddenly in late May. In the words of eight close friends as well as photographs from his amazing life on and off the water, we celebrate this beloved marine industry legend—and dedicate this issue to Goldman and his family.

In the May/June issue, we also celebrate the achievement of MTI with its striking MTI-V 42 performance center console—the company has built 40 of the unmistakable 42-footers since introducing the model four years ago. Also in this issue, we tell the story behind the success of rookie offshore racing team M CON, which worked closely with Performance Boat Center to launch its competitive dreams.

Our broad event coverage includes the Desert Storm Poker Run in Arizona, the Tickfaw 200 Poker Run in Louisiana, the Texas Outlaw Challenge (we know you can guess what state that was in), the Fort Myers Poker Run and Jacksonville River Rally Fun Run in Florida, the Cigarette Racing Team Rendezvous in Missouri and the Erie Poker Run in Pennsylvania—all first-rate happenings. (We were on scene for last weekend’s epic Boyne Thunder Poker Run in Michigan, which will be featured in the next issue.)

While strolling McCulloch Boulevard during the Desert Storm Street Party, we bumped into our longtime friend and colleague, Todd Taylor. You probably know him as Speedboat magazine’s principal photographer, but by the time you get done reading the profile in this issue, you’ll know him as the man behind so many Lake Havasu-based events.

Also during Desert Storm, we spent some time with Randy Davis, the founder of Lake Havasu City-based Nordic Boats. Davis was plenty stoked on his company’s new 43-foot catamaran, and we’re pretty sure you’ll be too after you read about it in this issue.

Of course, with 94 pages in our latest digital magazine there’s a eve more to enjoy than what we mentioned above. So what are you waiting for? Download the May/June 2017 issue of Speed On The Water, sit back and enjoy the read—and the ride.
