The latest promotional video for the three-part NBC Sports television program covering the 2016 Super Boat International World Championships focuses on the Miss GEICO Unlimited-class team’s shot at redemption during three days of racing at the event in Key West, Fla. A rear-facing camera mounted on the team’s 44-foot catamaran captures Miss GEICO and the CMS 52-foot MTI catamaran heading into turn No. 1 during Wednesday’s race—and CMS kiting over Miss GEICO’s wake just past the turn buoy.

Starting at the 60-second mark in the minute-and-a-half teaser video, the camera catches a few seconds of the close and controversial racing action that stirred debate and acrimony between the rival two teams, which have no love lost for one another, as well as their respective fans.

But the bulk of the video, which features high-definition super-slow-motion footage of Miss GEICO in action, is dedicated to the GEICO team’s attempted comeback from three seasons plagued by chronic problems with its engine program. In a voiceover that begins the video, driver Marc Granet talks about the concerted team effort that went into regrouping during the 2016 season and preparing for the world championship, where the Miss GEICO group finished fifth overall.

“They know they deserve to be here—they know how much time and effort they have put into to getting the program right,” Granet says at the end of his monologue. “Now it’s execution.”
