Nautical Network and Good Boy Vodka Team Up For New Speedboat Events: Tampa

A couple of extremely influential, high-spirited and energetic brands—the Nautical Network and Good Boy Vodka—are teaming up to produce what they’re calling an ultra-premium poker run in the middle of June in Tampa, Fla. And judging by the passionate folks behind Speedboat Events, the Nautical Network’s event marketing arm, they’re not taking the ultra-premium designation lightly for the event scheduled from June 18-20, which is being hosted at Armature Works with event room blocks available at JW Marriott Water Street.

“Between our content creation—we have 12 social media brands that each focus on a different niche in the marine industry—and our audience of followers, it’s been brought up many times that we should put on our own event,” said Billy Pavlock, the Cleawater, Fla.-based co-founder of Nautical Network. “People have responded incredibly well to what we’ve been doing from a digital marketing and content creation standpoint that putting on events where we can bring everyone together in one place and create even more content, while providing a luxury high-end experience for the performance boaters who fuel this industry I’ve grown to love, makes perfect sense.

“Having a partner like Alex Pratt and Good Boy Vodka on the sponsorship and promotional side was exactly what we needed to make something like this work,” he continued. “We’re excited to try this out and see what happens. Tampa itself has a lot to offer and we have lined up some great stops for a first-year poker run, plus we’ll have cash prizes of $5,000 for the top three poker hands along with many other awards.”

Pratt, who has event promotional experience thanks to the Good Boy Vodka launch events he’s organized at Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks and in other areas of the country such as Nashville, Tenn., is excited to be a part of what he, Pavlock and Pavlock’s business partner, Brandon Chapman, are planning to take nationwide with organized events in other cities around the country.

“I’m so enthusiastic about this event and this partnership,” Pratt said. “This is a killer team and a killer deal we’re working on. Everything about this event is going to be done at the highest level. Anyone can enter the run; it doesn’t matter if you have a 32-foot V-bottom or a 48-foot catamaran. It’s open to all—until it’s sold out obviously—and we have various options you can sign up for, such as if you want premier dock space or you want your boat washed, coolers filled and much more. It’s going to be ultra-premium, that’s the best way to describe it.”

Pratt added that there will be attentive models and professional dock hands to assist throughout the day on Saturday, followed by a fine-dining experience during a private dinner party. Details on the event and a full schedule are available on the website. Registration for Speedboat Events Tampa opened yesterday. Both participants and sponsors that want to be a part of the festivities can sign up here.
