MTI Bringing Back Owners Fun Run Following Miami Boat Show

Earlier this year, MTI put together its first Owners Fun Run through the Florida Keys a few days after the 2016 Miami International Boat Show wrapped up. According to Tim Gallagher, MTI’s sales and marketing manager, the plan is to do the same thing following the 2017 boat show in which the company will be displaying its brand new 57-foot center console powered by quad Seven Marine outboards not to mention several catamarans and MTI-V 42 models.

“Everyone had such a great time at the first MTI Owners Fun Run that we’ve decided to do it again,” Gallagher said, adding that the run will leave Miami on Thursday, Feb. 23 and stop for lunch en route to the Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club in Marathon. “The great success of the event led us to immediately book rooms at the accompanying Hyatt Place and reserve even more docks for the 2017 event.”

Gallagher said Friday will be a day of “R&R” with a short lunch run and the opportunity to fuel up boats with a fuel truck scheduled to provide fresh 93-octane gas before the group heads to Key West and back on Saturday.

If you’re interested in attending the run, contact Gallagher immediately via email at [email protected] as the company only has a fixed number of rooms and slips reserved. He said the slip and room allocation will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis and that you can only get a reservation if you’re on the list he provides to the resort.

“We will have a photographer along with us for the trip just as we did earlier this year,” Gallagher said. “Last time we had the Faro Blanco to ourselves. However, that will not be the case this year as the Florida Powerboat Club has decided to relocate its Miami Boat Show Poker Run from the Postcard Inn in Islamorada to the Faro Blanco as well. Those that would like to participate in the poker run can certainly sign up and book via FPC. We have no issues with that.”

Following the Saturday evening get together in Marathon after returning from Key West, Gallagher said the plan is to return to Miami on Sunday and eventually reconvene with as many of them as possible at the next MTI Owners Fun Run.
